LASER CUTTING

CHOSE YOUR MATERIAL

At IDZZIGN, we offer a wide range of well selected materials that have all been pre-tested to insure their compatibility with our laser cutting machines. See our material list.

We recommend using materials we supplied in order to get the best result. However, you may also bring your own materials. Please check the list below for things we can or cannot cut:

The maximum cutting area of our laser cutter is 900mm x 600mm. Please make sure your sheet material is smaller than the maximum capacity of the laser cutting bed.

Your material must be flat, as bent or warped materials are not usable. A small additional set-up fee may apply in some circumstances for unique materials.

SET UP YOUR FILE

The first thing you should do is to choose your desired materials and sizes. See our material list.

Then you need to import your design files into our template provided below and follow the instructions to setup your files to make sure they are laser-ready.

The program we are using for laser cutting includes Rhino, Illustrator and AutoCAD, please select your template accordingly.

GETTING A QUOTE/ UPLOAD YOUR FILE TO CUT

A quote with estimated turnaround time will be provided based on the digital files provided to us.

Once the job is done, we will package the sheets and inform you the completion.

FEES

Set-up fee

A standard fee* of $5 will be charged to cover the cost of processing your files, preparing materials and loading your job into our machines.

Laser cutting cost

The laser cutting costs are calculated based on the time your file takes to cut in the laser. It’s been charged at $20 per 30mins ($40 per hour).

DELIVERY AND PICKUP OPTIONS

For delivery, a flat fee of $10 will be charged if you are within 6km from our store (145 Anzac Parade, Kensington NSW 2033), the delivery time is 7pm-9pm every day. Further cost may apply for destination beyond 6km from us.

Alternatively, you can always come to our store to pick up your work.

PAYMENT

Payment can be made in store when you pick up your work, or on site when you receive your items. Please note, while credit card is acceptable at our store, we can only accept cash when delivering.

DISCOUNT

If you are a student, we are glad to offer you a 10% student discount for our service fee. We also provide reward programme for all our customers, please contact our staff for more detail.
